Read the following excerpt from the book and answer the question "In a matter of seconds, people started screaming and running in different directions, pushing and trampling on whoever had fallen on the ground. No one had the time to take anything with them. Everyone just ran to save his or her life. Mothers lost their children, whose confused, sad cries coincided with gunshots. Families were separated and left behind everything they had worked for their whole lives..."
Question: Would you take anything with you? What would you be worrying about if you were Ishmael?

ReplyDeleteIf i were Ishmael i would not worry about anyone but myself in this situation because its a matter of life or death. I also wouldn't take anything with me because i wouldn't be thinking about anything while i am running for my life.
ReplyDeleteIf i were him i would take nothing because i wouldn't be thinking of anything but move fast and stay alive. i would worry about my parents and my little brother because i don't know where they are. i wouldn't worry about junior too much because im with him.
ReplyDeleteif i was ishmael i would take all the guns and food but i probably would be to scared to. I would be thinking am i going to get shot if they captured me? if they dont shoot me what will they do???
ReplyDeleteI dont think i would go back and get everything because there will brand me cause i am a boy.I will not be worry about anything but me and my family life.I will be worry if my brother or my friend are still a live.I feel sad for them because i will never want to be there.

ReplyDeleteIf I were him, i wouldn't take anything with me, when i run for my life. Why would i take something if i can't save my life. On that time, i would be most worried about my family and friends. To be honest, i don't know what i was really going to do if i were him.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Ishmael, I would think only about my friends and I for the fact that these were th only people i knew who were alive. Since the rebels came unexpectedly, the most i wold take is some food, cooked or uncooked.

ReplyDeleteI probably would take something really precious to me or something i may need if im getting out of my house and to safety or runningaway. If i was ishmael i would be worried for my life because all of these gunshots and people dying. I probably would of thought i would be next

I would be worried about my brothers life my friends life and my life but mostly i would be more focused in running away to save my life than any bodies else life's and obviously i would look back for once to even check for the meal that would give me more energy because i would not have enough time and mind for it at the moment.

At that moment i would have been frighten and look around, run like every other person is doing, but as well i know for a fact i would look for my family and be with them. i would take them and go hide somewhere that i would be safe for the moment.

ReplyDeleteI would run as fast as i could but if i saw someone struggling if i had the chance to i would probably help them to a curtain point then keep running. I would be worried weather or not me and my friends were okay because why run alone while you can run with someone you trust and that you know would have your back, you could meet anybody that doesn't know you and that person can kill you but you can have a friend where you can protect each other from this dangers... " We ride together, we die together, friends for life because Ishmael and his friends were pretty close
ReplyDeleteI would just run run and run but if i see someone that i believe really need help i would probably stop. The thing i would really be worried bout is staying with my friends because we would be pretty close and we will protect each other from danger...

I would most likely make sure my family is with me at the time that this happened. Like I stated in a pervious post, I would wait for them at the next village. Chances are slim they would still be alive if we weren't together. If I was alive, I would want them to continue and move on to get away from the rebels. I think they would want the same for me.

ReplyDeleteWell I'd obviously go back for my own personal items, such as a cell phone to call several times if my mother or anybody would answer my calls or actually call me, but nothing else because it would slow me down, and I'd most likely die.
