Chapter 1: The first sign of war
In the first ten pages, we learn that Ishmael and his friends are in another village when their home village is attacked. Would you go back to your home village after it's been attacked? Keep in mind that you do not know if your family is there or not. What do you think Ishmael and his friends are worried about?

I would go back to search for my family.
ReplyDeleteMaybe because there is a 50% 50% chance to see your family. One time I saw a movie named A Empire of the Sun and the boy play be Christian Bale waited until Japan surrendered to see his parents. I would wait long to see my parents because they know how to survive to find food and ask my relative to stay.
ReplyDeleteI would go back to my family why because I am young I can run, I can jump, I can dodge bullets.

ReplyDeleteI think they are worried about going back and finding their families dead. I would go back to my village to see, because if I left and my family died, I would always think about it, and it would haunt me for the rest of my life.

ReplyDeletenot.if they are not alive so i know they are not, if they are alive and i don't go to see them, on my whole life i will think about them and i would be looking for them. Ishmeal and his friend think that if they go back they would be killed to. for saving their life they disided not to go back.
I would go back because I would want to save my family if they're okay.And I Would also want to be a savior in my country.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't because if i find them we will be happy but are more likely to get shot down in a big group. they would be safe by themselves or i could at least think that if i didn't go back.

ReplyDeleteI would go back to find my family to see their alive because it a risk, but no matter what they just did to you is your family that you worry about.

ReplyDeleteI won't go back because I'm risking my life and my family could be dead or I can get killed on my way to find my family. I think Ishmael and his friends are worried about their family and get caught and killed by the rebels.

ReplyDeleteI would go even if i feel scared because is my family .My family comes first & if i go to the village and i die at least i died for a good reason & for something that is worth it. Ishmael & his friends are worried about finding their family dead.
ReplyDeleteI will go back and try to save my family cause there put up with me and there help me with everything. So I must help and repay them for what there did for me . If i dead at less I try to save them.

ReplyDeleteI would have gone back to save my family. It probably would have been useless because knowing my family, they would run with me and make sure I'M safe and worry less about themselves.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go back because im worried that if i do go back i would be dead and ishmael and his friends were mostly worried about i fhteir family was dead. I wouldn't know if my family is dead, if their on there way to get me, or if they already left. I just wouldn't go back and that's probably what my family would of wanted, just to keep growing up and get a good education.
ReplyDeleteI would have to think for a few days, but I think that i would end up going back because i could not take the fact that i could be the only one to save my family.

ReplyDeleteI would definately go back. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didnt, especially knowing they would go back for me. But before I go I would make sure I have everything I need to help me survive the dangerous journey back.
ReplyDeleteI would probrably not go back because i don't know where anyone is and i wouldn't feel safe. If I were to go i would keep my distance, i would hide in a near by bush while looking for my family.

ReplyDeleteI would go back for my family if the risk of death wasn't so high, since they are i would not go back because it would probably be a lost cause when i find them dead and then i would die.
ReplyDeleteI would like to go and look for my family but in that case i would have tough about the high possibility of the rebels already in that part of the town and had go on far away with my friends someplace else safe enough to make our new life.

ReplyDeleteIf you think about it why would my family stay in a village that is under attack they will run of course. But i will go back and ask questions to see where my parents might have gone
ReplyDeleteAt anytime in any place, there are chances of things like this happening. I would set a spot with my family too meet weather it's in NYC or not. We wouldn't have to go back to the dangerous place in order to see each other again. That's always a good idea. But if I had to, I would go to the next village and see if they were there; otherwise, chances of them being a live are very small.

Ishmael and his friends are probably worried about that they have no money, no food, and that it is possible that their families are dead.

ReplyDeleteI'd most likely go back to see if they're okay even though there's a small chance of them being alive. But once I out their names, and they don't answer, I'd leave and protect myself.
